Smart ways of cutting costs on wedding stationery

Getting married is exciting but can be very stressful once the costs start to add up, there are ways of saving money on your stationery without giving up everything that you want.

Plan ahead

Ensure that you order invitations in advance, last minute rush orders usually incur extra fees.

Be realistic

If you’re on a budget try to manage your expectations, laser cutting and letterpress are beautiful but can be expensive. Think about a beautiful printed invite.

Do the research

Create a Pinterest board and have a good idea of what you like, this will make a designer’s job far simpler and cut down on hours.

Double up

Instead of individual menus why not have a menu per table which serves as a table number as well? Individual place cards aren’t necessary use your gift tag as a place card.

Check the spelling

Check, check again and then get someone else to check that everything is correct before it gets printed. I’ve seen this happen countless times and it’s never nice having to charge for a mistake that could have been avoided.

Is an order of service really necessary?

Do away with the extra paper and printing or if you really need one print enough for people to share.
