2018 is certainly in full swing and if you’re tying the knot this year chances are the planning is already underway. I’ve put together a list of some of my favourite trends for the year.
Expect to see purple creeping in everywhere this year from bold, moody floral arrangements to wedding stationery. When you take time to think about it, purple is a really a versatile colour that goes with a huge variety of other colours so why not give it a go.
Moving away from rose gold (yay) this more industrial and cheaper metal is the perfect metallic accent.
Glass details, Perspex and shimmery semi sheer paper stationery this is really a trend which is super easy to incorporate into every aspect of your celebration.
Different and authentic food
Couples are moving away from the traditional 3 course sit down and incorporating foods they really like such as pizza, sushi and burgers. Personal touches such as a dish your Grandma served every Sunday will delight your guests. Work with your caterer to design a unique food experience.
This is possibly one of my favourite trends this year; pearls are truly timeless and remind me of a bygone era.
Cutting the guest list
Intimate, personal celebrations with those that really matter are set to become more popular this year.
Who doesn’t love balloons? This is a great way of adding bursts of colour and fun to your wedding décor.
This one’s been around for a while but is set to continue into 2018.
Black is the new black
Wedding gowns accented with black, black invites, black chairs and chargers. This is one elegant trend that I love.
